This editorial layout explores the life, works, and literary voice of Sally Rooney. Inspired by the color palettes of her book covers — “Conversations with Friends”, “Normal People”, and “Intermezzo”— I developed a cohesive system where each spread highlights one dominant color.
The design blends photography of Rooney and stills from the TV adaptations of her novels, reflecting both the aesthetic of her stories and the simplicity of her writing style. With a clean, understated layout, the piece mirrors Rooney’s honest, unvarnished approach to storytelling and her distinctive perspective on contemporary life.
