For this project, I was tasked with creating a festival visual identity based on a randomly assigned U.S. city and theme—Lexington, KY, and theatre. I chose to design a Shakespeare festival centered on his tragedies, crafting a visual language that feels royal, edgy, and dramatically atmospheric.
Drawing inspiration from medieval aesthetics, I incorporated rich textures, bold typography, and layered imagery, while introducing modern elements through image manipulation and a contemporary approach to color. The result is a striking and immersive identity that captures the timeless intensity of Shakespeare’s tragedies with a fresh, visual twist.
